Litle Ira always wanted to be just like her mama. As a child, she would drape her mama's Benarasi saris, wear her make-up, put on her jhumkas and talk like her in front of the mirror.
There was something about the bright colours and the intricate weaves of those saris that attracted her. And of course, her mama had matching bindis for every one she wore (every one of them). Each time anybody would ask her what would she like to be when she grew up, she would always say "I want to to be just like mama".
Ira grew up. Her mother was still her biggest inspiration. Strange as it seems, the colours of the Benarasi silk saris and the opulent embroidery from her childhood remained with her.
But in everyday life, it was not easy to find an opportunity to wear Benarasi saris as much as she would have liked to.
So, imagine her delight when she stumbled upon these bright Jhumkas made from real Benarasi silk! They were intricately handcrafted and exquisite. Oh, they felt like the perfect solution to what was missing in her wardrobe!
